Almost Over
I feel so relieved that I tested out on all my activities. Now I can relax a few days until our exam on Wednesday. I'm pretty confident that I will do ok on the test. I just need to study a few things. I'm mostly excited for the little party we are going to have at Doc's house. It will be sad too though because it is probably the last time our cohort will get together like that before we all move on to graduate and find jobs. I hope a lot of people stay in contact with me. I'm going to miss them.
Inline Skating
Just finished up testing for inline skating and I got advanced. I was skeptical at first because I was having a really hard time going backwards on the rubber floor. Rubber and rubber don't go together. We had to pass in 53 seconds and I did it in 46. Now I am finally done with all the activites testing. Just one more written exam to go and I'm finished.
Last day of testing
Wheew! Today is the last day to test and all I have to test on is the inline skating. I'm so proud of myself for being able to test advanced on 5 things. I was scared I couldn't do it in the beginning, but I did and it feels good. I'm pretty sure I can get advanced in inline skating. Guess we'll find out today!
Hiking
I forgot to write about my hiking experience.....We went to Menastash to hike and it was beautiful. Perfect weather. It was quite the hike. Up hill the whole way up but then down on our way down. Duh! It was tough, but totally worth the view at the top. You could see all of Ellensburg. It was awesome. The best part was that I didn't see one rattlesnake!

Day Dreaming
I was thinking today and I remembered when I first stepped into this class and how scared i was when I heard all the things we had to accomplish by the end of the quarter. At first I thought I would never be able to do it. I was frusterated and I called my mom to talk about it. She just told me to relax and just take it one step at a time and do the best that I can do because that is all anyone could ask for. So I did. I tested on most everything so far and I am so relieved at how well I have done and the fact that I have accomplished something I didn't think I could do.
Circus Arts
It's getting closer to the day that I have to test for juggling, diabolo, and unicycle. I practiced a lot today. I knew how many things I needed to get advanced in so all I had to do was get intermediate on these three. I have been doing pretty good with the juggling and I know I can do intermediate in the unicycling. All I have to work on is the diabolo mostly. For some reason I am having a really hard time with this one.
Rock Climbing
We pulled into the parking lot where we were going to rock climb the real thing down in Leavenworth. When I saw the rock I started to get really nervous. I just told myself to shoot for getting advanced and if I end up with intermediate than so be it. I belayed my friend first and I did really well. Then it was my turn to rock climb. I just focused on what I was doing and I did awesome. I didn't even get afraid of the heights because I was so focused on my foot placing. I knocked out all five climbs and ended up getting advanced. I was so proud of myself.
Rock Climbing
When we went to practiceour rock climbing at the High School it was exciting and scary at the same time. I didn't really know how I was going to handle the heights. I loved the rock climbing we did at the Central, but it didn't go up very high. The first time I did it at the high school, I didn't get nervous from the heights until I got to the top and looked down. My heart starting racing really fast, but I did it. Now I know that when we go to do the real thing to not look down EVER!

Biking
I did intermediate biking because I didn't really have much experience on a bicycle and I'm afraid to go over rocks and dodge trees. We had a great ride. We took a horse trail, which was challenging at times, but also enjoyful. I have never been mountain biking, so it was a pretty cool experience. I learned a lot about biking that I didn't know before. It was actually funny because our group got stuck in a bunch of sheep herding up the mountain. It was crazy!
Camping
Camping with the honor students from Morgan Middle school was a lot of fun. We went up to Lake Wenatchee and the weather was beautiful. I was grouped with Megan and Katie to teach the kids how to make stick vases and homemade ice cream. We also did like a fear factor taste testing with them. It was really funny to watch how they reacted to the different items we gave them. They had loads of fun and loved the homemade ice cream. 80's night was pretty hilarious as well. The counselors did a great job dressing up and the kids really enjoyed it.
Practicing
I have been practicing my Diabolo a lot lately. That is the only circus art that I have really been having trouble with. It is fun to play with but can be frusterating at times. Practicing the unicycle is hard too, but I really feel like I can conquer it if I keep trying. It's kind of funny watching everyone practice all these different activities. Especially the unicycle with all the crazy falls. It is also pretty cool to see what everyone in the class has accomplished since first starting.

Mountain Biking
Today we practiced our mountain biking. I didn't realize how much I didn't know about bikes and mountain biking until this class. There is so much more to the sport. I learned a lot about the different parts of the bike and how to use your brakes and settings at certain times while riding. The course was somewhat challenging, but I think the endurance part of it was the hardest for me. It takes a lot of strength to go up hills.
Inline Skating
Today we did inline skating, which I haven't done since I was in grade school. I was suprised how much came back to me naturally, but I still need to practice. You could tell who the ones were that played hockey when they were younger. It was challenging, but a lot of fun to try again.

First impression (Day 1)
The first day of class made me a little nervous. I was excited about most of the activities, but nervous about some. I say that because a lot of them I haven't done before. I have always been pretty good at learning a new sport and not struggling very much, but these activities were different and challenging. Things such as juggling and riding a unicycle. I was scared at first hearing that we had to accomplish these activities, but then I realized that's what it is like for a lot of kids who are not athletic and having to play sports in PE.
